A Word From The Author:
SMP was created as a full service center for Coaches, Athletic Directors, School Administrators, Officials to achieve training in Promotional activity, Scheduling systems, Official’s assignment and Evaluation, principally for the high school and junior high school community but applicable to the collegiate level as well. Sportsmanship and value education are the centerpiece’s of interscholastic activities in perspective-its mission, to teach morals, character and the American system of achievement-are featured in each of the products, services and management functions offered through SMP. The author and those associated within the SMP family have decades of experience in running major events from both the participant and spectator perspective.
The author possess- a Ph.D. in educational and sports administration, has an extensive business background, several decades of formal educational experience and service to a major non-profit corporation, numerous community organizations including Special Olympics, church groups as well as a consultant to schools over many years. He is the recipient of numerous awards and is a member of both the New Mexico Activities Association and the New Mexico Officials Halls of fame respectively. Dr. Salzwedel is considered an expert in the history of Interscholastic Education (athletic and non-athletic activities), it’s purpose and how to properly build/manage programs that are Value centered and educationally sound.
SMP offers a wide variety of literature that is available to selected audiences that describe the interscholastic educational experience with considerable depth. You are welcome to examine the text of several examples contained within as SMP provides materials for advancing programs in a promotional, value-centered and classical perspective.

Event Management & Promotions
With three decades of experience in marketing, SMP will provide any client wishing to increase attendance, enhance the educational atmosphere and improve public image for your school or organization, with an extensive planning process and marketing program which will increase opportunities for successful value-driven perspectives. As you’ll note in the articles, interscholastic education has become a business to one extent or another.
Fundraising
If you have needs regarding capital projects, naming rights, promotional fundraising-we’ve got the answers! Fundraising, capital projects, naming rights, marketing of events, including internal promotional activities themselves, are all part of contemporary interscholastic and intercollegiate education.
Speakers Bureau
We do Commencements, Athletic Banquets, In-service Programs, as well as workshops in related areas.
SMP offers a variety of speakers who, because of their decades of experience can provide keynote presentations in the areas of value education, interscholastic activities in perspective, sportsmanship, on-line reporting, promotional activity and a wide range of other topics associated with interscholastic and intercollegiate as well as elementary and junior high school activities, both athletic and non-athletic.
SMP believes that interscholastic activities and performance education are the foundation for teaching the concepts of success and competition within the formal educational process. A wide variety of speakers are available and our fees are reasonable to assist you in addressing the many needs relative to interscholastic and intercollegiate educational programs at banquets, motivational seminars, etc.
Response Forms
A wide variety of forms are available that are intended to survey your needs as an interscholastic and intercollegiate educator. SMP specializes in forms which assess the needs of local and state programs, technology inventories, value education and a wide variety of other financial and programmatic materials customized to the user’s
specifications.
